💡The Values Connect Blog: A Journey of Growth, Learning, Impact and Connections

susanmfullerton

Welcome to the Values Connect blog!

I have to admit, the idea of starting a blog was really not high on my wish list. However, following several recent conversations and encouragement, I believe I have information worth sharing, both from my experience to date (professionally and personally). Most importantly, as I continue in my own learning and development, I feel I am making so many connections that I really don't want to just keep to myself!

Before we get started however, some information about Values Connect!

Who Is Behind Values Connect?

My name is Susan Fullerton and I am committed to fostering meaningful connections, develop trusting relationship, bring authenticity to my day to day life and work with compassion in everything I do. With a trauma-informed approach, I provide coaching and support to leaders and individuals, particularly those with ADHD. My goal is to help you flourish, navigate challenges, and achieve your ambitions.

Wait! Don't give up yet...!

Lets make this sound more normal...!

I am a people person and thrive on building relationships based on trust and mutual respect. I am a champion of others and love celebrating wins - even the little ones. I care. I want the best for people, for organisations and most importantly, for my family. I am passionate about my knowledge, my learning and my work, which has so many crossovers to my day to day family life. I am a listener, a do-er and a facilitator. Making connections with people, concepts, theories, practice, and more, excites me, drives me and energises me.

You can find out some more about my background here.

Back to some of the formality....

Why Blog?

For those who know me already, keeping things brief is not a skill I hold - unless I am not particularly interested (do I really need to know anymore about Pokemon and the evolution of Charmander?), or I am bursting for the toilet....! So when I was writing some social media posts recently and realised they were no longer bite sized, it felt like starting my blog was the next step.

As the founder of Values Connect, I am deeply passionate about supporting leaders, individuals with ADHD and organisations in their development and growth. So this blog will be reflective of this, as I spend time collecting and recording my thoughts.

  • Insights: my learning, reflections, observations and experience - from my career and personal journey. Including sharing some strategies, hints, tips and connections to give you some food for thought.

  • ADHD Awareness and Support: raising awareness about ADHD and the impacts it can have on day to day life. Speaking about it with compassion and importantly, not forgetting to share the positives. Suggestions for coping strategies and identifying/celebrating small wins will also feature.

  • Organisation and Leadership Development: Sharing my experiences, examples of work I am undertaking and more general ideas for leaders to consider within their practice

  • Coaching: Stories and lessons from my own journey as a coach in training, being coached, coaching and dialogues around the connectivity between coaching and mentoring approaches.

I also promise to bring my authenticity to my posts. You might not have met me (yet), but I am sure this will change over the next few weeks/months...!
